According to Humane Society statistics, nearly half of American households own a dog. Dogs have quickly become essential family members throughout America.

However, there is also a risk to owning a dog that impacts the entire community: the risk of dog bites. Due to a higher incident of attacks by certain breeds, many cities may only allow certain dog breeds within city limits.
